Project Manager Fleet Services - East

Continental Tide is seeking a motivated, energetic individual for a Project Manager position for its Virginia Beach office. The candidate’s primary function will be to interface with DoD customers and Continental Tide Project Managers and staff. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in and five (5) years to fifteen (15) years of direct experience related to US Navy. Target experience includes: a working knowledge with power generation, power transmission, and auxiliary machinery systems and equipment. Proficiency in program execution of ship Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) or electronic system projects and initiatives. Willingness to travel, strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams is a must. Strong attention to detail is essential as you will be fully engaged from the first day.

Requirements include:

• ? Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in related field
• ? Minimum of five (5) years of experience
• ? Ability to secure a DBIDS access credential
• ? Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team
• ? Ability to perform AIT and industrial execution and planning support
• ? Oversee and direct program and project initiatives
• ? Lead and direct work of employees assigned to projects
• ? Apply company policy and procedures to workforce
• ? Candidate must be able to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, reach, squat and twist
• ? Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
• ? Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
• ? Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
• ? May ride ships at sea for extended periods.
• ? May require wearing a respirator.
• ?Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
